01 · The Beginning
The story of kumquat in Corfu reads like a fairy tale and is bound to the name of the Mavromatis family. It all began when our founder, a Corfiot sailor with a restless spirit and horizons beyond the Ionian Sea, found himself in the ports of faraway Japan. There, among the scents of the East, he discovered the "golden fruit", and also the woman who would become his lifelong companion.
Returning to Corfu, they brought with them, like precious luggage, the first kumquat saplings. In doing so, they planted the first seeds of a tradition that was destined to become part of the island's gastronomic identity.

02 · The Evolution
From that first tree in the family garden, we never stopped moving forward. With vision and a great deal of hard work, the small family production became a modern, model facility. What started as a bold experiment grew into a complete product range and a point of reference for Corfu.
We keep experimenting and evolving, turning the richness of Corfiot soil into fine liqueurs, traditional sweets and soft drinks that hold the authentic soul of our island.
